These Terms & Conditions apply to this website and to transactions with We Buy Gold & Diamonds, operated by Precious Time & Metals, a division of PTM Networks LLC (“we,” “us”), located inside Ed’s Barbershop, 70-21 Parsons Blvd, Fresh Meadows, NY 11365. By using this website or doing business with us, you agree to these terms.
Website prices and calculator are estimates
Gold prices, “up to” rates per gram or per DWT, and results from our gold value calculator are estimates for general information only. They are shown as “up to” amounts, are subject to change at any time without notice, and are not an offer or a promise to buy at any price.
Final price is set in person
The final price for any item is determined only in person, after we test and weigh it. Purity, weight, condition, stones, market movement and other factors may result in a price lower than any website estimate. You are never obligated to sell.
Identification and ownership
To sell to us you must be at least 18 years old and present a valid, current, unexpired government-issued photo ID for every sale, with no exceptions. Expired IDs are not accepted. You must be the legal owner of each item, or be legally authorized to sell it, and the item must be free of any lien or claim. By selling, you confirm these statements are true.
Legal compliance and reporting
We comply with New York State and New York City laws that apply to buyers of secondhand gold, jewelry and other precious items. These laws may require us to record details about each transaction, the items and the seller (including ID information), keep those records for the period required by law, make them available to law enforcement, and in some cases hold items for a required period before resale or processing. We cooperate fully with law enforcement and report suspected stolen property.
Right to refuse
We may refuse any item or transaction, for any lawful reason, including if we cannot verify identity or ownership, or if we suspect an item is stolen, counterfeit or misrepresented.
Payment
We pay using the payment methods we offer in store at the time of the transaction, subject to any legal limits. Payment method is confirmed with you before the sale is completed.
All sales final
Once you have accepted our offer and been paid, the sale is final. Items cannot be returned or bought back unless we agree in writing.
Items left for repair
Repair quotes are estimates and may change once work begins; we will contact you before doing additional work that changes the price. Please keep your receipt and pick up repaired items promptly. Items not picked up within the period stated on your repair receipt, after reasonable attempts to contact you, may be treated as abandoned and handled as permitted by New York law. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or for loss caused by events outside our control.
Third-party price data
Live market prices on this website come from a third-party data provider. We do not control that data and do not guarantee it is accurate, complete or current. Prices may be delayed or temporarily unavailable.
No warranty; limitation of liability
This website and its content are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss resulting from reliance on website prices, estimates or information. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited under law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New York, unless the law requires otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms at any time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
